Travesty in Mumbai brings in suspect

My heart goes out to those affected recently by the terrorist attacks in Mumbai.

I cannot imagine how it must have felt for those tourists and residents to be bombarded by sprays of bullets from the terrorists. I can only say that under any circumstance, I will certainly be donating to charitable funds to see that the victims have their lives in order…and that Mumbai can be restored.

Interesting news article came out of CNN, and I imagine various other news outlets (no Sarah Palin plug intended here). Read it: http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/12/03/india.attacks/index.html?iref=mpstoryview

I don’t want to exchange viewpoints on the underlying racial tensions here….but as Michael Ignatieff once said, these ‘minor’ differences, like nationality in this case, along with religion, will eventually escalate into major differences…and possibly force these two nations into war – although, I concede, there already existed strong tensions between these two nations.

I implore upon everyone to consider these differences to be minor and trivial….and lets fight to support human beings, not isolate and oppress certain groups. That’s all I have to say….

My heart goes out to the victims.
